New label Pique-nique Recordings present Innov Gnawa and Aicha on a limited 12-inch record – featuring four traditional pieces – mixed and produced by Dave Harrington (Darkside).

Gnawa music is a traditional music form of Morocco. Members of Innov Gnawa grew up and studied the tradition in Morocco individually and fate brought each musician separately to New York City. When they met there, they ended up being mentored by a master of this music – Mâalem Hassan Ben Jaâfer. Lalla Aicha from the record can be heard below:
